Vancouver Wedding Checklist

You can’t control the weather on your big day. In fact, you can’t control everything that happens until your big day arrives either! But, having a complete checklist ready to go will help you organize your wedding in a civilized fashion (in short, you won’t go crazy trying to remember everything if you have a checklist!).

You can print out the following checklist, take it with you wherever you go, and make notes as you book things. This way, you won’t forget to do something, and you can try to make sure that everything goes smoothly. Just remember not to stress about small details!

1. Call Your Caterer: a wedding without food isn’t something you want to experience! Make sure to finalize and book everything.
2. Touch Base With Your Florist: are your roses ready? How are those bridesmaid bouquets coming along? Did you arrange for floral centerpieces?
3. Don’t Forget Makeup and Hair: you deserve a little wedding day pampering! Make an appointment with your stylist, and book a makeup appointment while you’re at it!
4. Find Your Photographer: if you haven’t already, start meeting with photographers. Look at packages, and book your date. Then, call your photographer one month before the wedding to finalize details.
5. Check In With the Bridal Party: is everyone ready for their toasts? Are all the bridesmaid and groomsmen outfits picked out? Has everyone taken care of delegated tasks?
6. Get Fitted: whether a tuxedo or a wedding dress, choose the right outfit and get fitted as soon as possible.
7. Confirm Venue: make sure that everything is in place.
8. Create A Seating Chart: while you’re at it, make seating cards too (or call your printer to finalize these details).
9. Keep Track of RSVPS: note who is and isn’t going to attend your wedding ceremony/reception.
10. Send Out Rehearsal Dinner Invites: keep this event small and intimate!
11. Spend Some Time With Your Fiancé: book a romantic dinner, go on a date, or snuggle by the fire.

If you plan and use this checklist, you can make sure that your wedding day goes smoothly. Just keep in mind that some things are beyond your control. If you find yourself feeling the pressure, book a yoga class, a massage, a spa day, or learn to meditate!
